ABC Bible Activity Book

I wanted a quiet activity book for my granddaughter.  I was maybe asking for too much when I expected to find one that could teach her the ABC's, how to count, and be in sorts, a Bible.  Unable to find exactly what I was looking for, I decided to make one.  I did a lot of research to help me decide what Bible story I wanted each letter to represent.  In the end, the inspiration came from the Bible, Pinterest, coloring books, and just some creative thoughts.  This book will be staying at my house for all my grandchildren to enjoy.  I hope it will become an heirloom.
The  cover is made of heavy felt.  Everything is hand stitched.

A-The story of Adam and Eve. The apples snap off and can be put inside the basket.
B-Baby Moses in the basket in the bulrushes.  Baby Moses comes out of the basket.

C- Tell the story of Joseph and his coat of many colors. The coat can be unbuttoned.
D-Jesus says he stands at the door and knock. This wooden door opens to find a heart with the child's name on it.
E-An empty tomb tells the Easter story.  The stone is stuffed and has a button on the back side.  A hidden rubber hair band is under the mountain that the button is attached to allow the stone to slide to the side.
F- Peter's great fish catch.

G-This page offers the opportunity to talk about the Garden of Eden. Some of the flower petals button on and off.
H-Tell the story of Sampson..

I-In the Beginning... shows the first six days of creation. This is a learning and counting page.
J-Jesus loves. Insert the child's photo and other family photos so the child can change the photos out.
K-This key represents the key to wisdom, which of course is reading the Word of God.  For small hands to easily open the chest, it is secured with velcro.  Inside is a miniature Bible.

L-This colorful lion helps share the story of Daniel in the lions den.
M-This manger scene, tell about the birth of Jesus. Baby Jesus can be removed from the manger and held.

N-Noah's Ark with finger puppets for hours of play.
O-represents the door of the ark that opens to let the animals in and then finally out.                                       P-Teach your child how to pray.  I bonded scrap pieces for my stained glass then used a thick heavy marker to draw the lines.

Q-Queen Esther. My granddaughter likes feeling the different textures on this page.
R-Talk about the covenant God made with Noah when he placed the rainbow in the sky.  Use the beads to teach counting.
S-The slingshot and stones can be used to tell the story of David and Goliath.

T-Tower of Babel. This page I used as a matching page, pieces with velcro.
U-Untie the sandal. We are not worthy to untie Jesus' sandals.  I made the sandal from leather.                      V-Jesus says, "I am the Vine".  Purple pom-poms are my grapes.

W-Talk about Jonah and the Whale. I chose not to attach Jonah with a string.
X-We are to store our treasures up for he aven. This is a map for little ones to follow their finger along the path, over the precious stones to heaven.  X marks where we are to store are treasures-for Heaven.

Y- I couldn't think of much so I used Your house.
Z-Zachhaeus is attached with a purse magnet Jesus say's "Zacchaeus, I am coming to Your house today." I like to sing "Zacchaeus Was A Wee Little Man" when we get to this page.

Index was printed on computer fabric, then sewn into the book.

I used a blanket stitch with clear thread on the three sides when assembling the pages front to back.  On the side that would be bound, I used a heavy yarn, then used the above technique to assemble the book together.
